Butcher is best known for The Dresden Files, another fantasy series that has been on the New York Times Bestseller list, and produced as a television series. He also is currently writing the Cinder Spires series. Jim is mostly inspired by The Lord of the Rings series, which his sisters introduced to him when he was sick with strep throat as a child.
